Sales Co-Ordinator

Role Description

This is an important role that contributes to the efficient running of the business and is the link between the sales office and the warehouse/workshop.

There will be regular contact with customers and suppliers to ensure that orders and projects are supplied on time and in a professional manner.

You will also be responsible for working in other areas of the business as and when required.

  • Excellent IT skills – with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quick Books (or similar) computerised accounts package

  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Highly self motivated
  • To hold GCSE level (or equivalent) Math’s and English Grade C or above

Key Responsibilities

  • Progressing all purchase orders.
  • Updating Customers on the current status of their orders and contracts.
  • Attending weekly planning meetings with the warehouse supervisor to ensure that the work is managed efficiently and effectively.
  • To provide support to customers as and when required.
  • To effectively deal with and resolve any customer and supplier complaints.
  • To prepare weekly reports on work schedules for the warehouse/workshop for the forthcoming weeks and months.
  • To raise and issue purchase stock orders on Quick books
  • To raise and issue delivery notes / invoices on Quick books
  • Regularly checking stock levels to ensure the actual stock matches the computerized records.
  • Assist sales regarding documentation supply and control.
  • Attend to quality assurance audits on a regular basis
  • Assist accounts when required – this would be on an occasional basis to cover absence / holidays or workload increased.

  • Answering telephone.
  • Sales order filing
  • Communicating on a regular basis with the sales office Manager and Directors and keeping them promptly and fully informed on all matters pertaining to the performance of their duties. 
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the business

Hours of Work

Some flexibility will be required according to business needs.

Usual hours of work will be:

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm with ¾ hour for lunch.
